Awards
At our Blast Off tournament we hand out 4 special awards.

WoodyCupThe Woody Cup is awarded to the team that finishes first in Regular 1. The award is named after one of the original Rocket Relay dogs named Hollywood. He belonged to the founding member of Rocket Relay, Bob Davidson.

WoodyCupThe Sabre Award is awarded to the team that finishes first in Multi 1. The award is named after Chris Swan's Mal, Sabre who had to leave us way to early. In her short time, she made a name for herself and made Mals an essential part of any multi team. She helped Rocket Relay run the Multi Breed World Record at that time.

The Don Newton Award is awarded to the team that displays the most sportsmanship. Don was Aaron and Kelly's Step Father and how they got introduced to the sport. He was a valuable part of the original team and took care of a lot of the behind the scenes stuff in the early days.

The Radar Award is awarded to the dog that best displays Radar's heart, speed and overall just makes you take notice of that dog, just like Radar always did right to the end. Radar was the dog that changed the whole thinking around Border Collies. Before him it was smaller meant quicker and faster box turns but he changed all of that to bigger meant more power and over all more speed/faster times. You could not help but notice him in the ring, big red flashy Border Collie that ran 3.7 every heat back when 3.7 Border Collies were very rare. He helped Rocket Relay set many world records and helped them become the first team to break 15 seconds. He truly was one of a kind and is greatly missed by the team.

At our June tournament we hand out two very special awards that are near and dear to our hearts.

The Macey Award is awarded to the rescue dog that best displays Macey's love for the game and defied all odds and excelled with its new owner. The award is named after Angela Decker's awesome rescue dog Macey who passed away very suddenly in September 13 2009.

The Gail Chase Award Please visit Gail's page to see how important she is to us and why we will never forget her. We will never be able to thank Gail enough for everything she did for us.
